“We are not born to accommodate tyranny over our hearts, minds, bodies, or souls. We are here to confirm an abundance of love-inspired possibilities greater than such restrictions.”Aberjhani, Spendid Literarium: A Treasury of Stories, Aphorisms, Poems, and Essays
Welp! Here goes something. It’s 3am (my time of day!) and I decided to write my first blog post (hooray!!). As I prepare to let Aarya the Great Dane out for a piss and feed her, I want to introduce myself 🙂
I am Clarissa. Clarissa is me. I’m 32 (as of February 2019) and a millennial. The following applies to me:
- Foster Kid
- Teen Mom
- Young Bride
- Internal Auditor
- Aspiring Motivational Speaker
- Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Survivor
- Former PTO Secretary
- Estranged Daughter
- Who knows what else!
And a host of other things! I want to break it all down and really get to know me. Sometimes I look back and realize that I have so much to be thankful for and I also pat myself on the back for crushing life in spite of all the obstacles that I faced.
So many people in my life have been so encouraging. They tell me I’m inspiring…and I thought that I can share that gift of myself with the world.
The purpose of this blog is for me to release and inspire others through my family life and journey to exploring all the things that make me who I am.
